Trip to Tagudin

It's been months since i didn't go to Tagudin to visit our cousins there. The trip took us 3 hours, i was with my two sisters, Mary An and Marilyn together with the children. It wasn't as what we expected that children would get dizzy during the trip, they enjoyed the trip, it was a joy ride for them. It was a hot morning when we arrived but it didn't spoil the day nor the mood of the kids. We went to visit tito louie and tita cons farm of vegetables and the kids got the chance to pick calamansi, we got fresh vegetables too. The farm was cool and wide with vegetables around it and with goats...it was so green. The children had the chance to play with their cousins and they had fun, it was also a time for us adults to share our day to day life for it was only again this time that we got the chance to have a talk after how many months. At 3pm we went to the cemetary to visit our dead relatives (my parents) and offered flowers, lighted a candle and said prayers for them. It was hot but it didn't matter. by 4:30 we preapred to go back to Baguio, it was sad that we parted again but we are looking forward to meeting again. The trip wasn't tiring at all, it was worth it.

Remembering Yesterday

Every summer, we usually gather together in Baguio, Tagudin or in Zambales. Fare was expensive then but when you're a child, you're free of bus fare. Why? Mom or dad would just let us sit in their laps. Lucky if there are less passengers you've got the chance to sit beside your parents. Travelling would really cost a lot, the stress, the mess you've done inside the bus (hey you know what I mean the "pagpaguni"? - remember?) but the joys, the "moments" could never be replaced...
....below are some collection which i've picked while i was going over my old photo album, to help us remember what was yesterday, what has brought us together until now, which we call the "bonding moments"
...this is just the beginning, l'l l be adding more...so watch out
...any violent reactions, you're free to give your "violent reactions" just click on the comments below after this topic

DERICK'S....

CAR, Ford Fusion… Dericks ‘s been crazy of collecting and downloading different styles, brands of cars and we do it every Friday and Saturday nights if he behaves in school, that’s our condition. Show him or ask him what's the name of the car and he’ll name it. He would be very happy if a new car passes by and he would write the name so that ‘I would not forget the name’ to be downloaded when friday comes. And I got addicted with cars too…

MOBILE PHONE, Sony Ericsson, touch screen, but what he really likes about it is it features - its connected with the internet, and its games

...but for now he is contented with his 'MITSUBISHI FUZION and NOKIA'.
Derick's latest model of Mitsubishi Fuzion
Derick's new Nokia Nseries

My Journey...

February 1- 3, 2008, the much awaited yearly field trips of the SLU-LES faculty and staff … destination : Cebu-Bohol. January 31 at 9:30 pm we left Baguio by bus going to NAIA. At 4:30 am we left Manila and headed to Cebu. The Queen City of the Philippines, Cebu welcomed us with a warm sunny morning. It was hot but it didn’t bother us for everybody was excited to set foot in Cebu. We visited historical places like the Heritage Monument, the Casa Gorordo, Fort San Pedro, Lapu-Lapu Shrine, St. Louis School of Mandaue, SLU sister school , we also went to the Taoist Temple, similar with our Taoist Temple found in La Trinidad. And of course their market for their famous DANGIT...hmmm really delicious for breakfast and the dried mango. Together with my co-staff we went to Casino Filipino, Waterfront Hotel. Too bad, two of my co-staff and me weren’t able to go in Casino Filipino to have a look because “SLIPPERS ARE NOT ALLOWED INSIDE”, you’re right slippers are not allowed inside the Casino, our slippers are beautiful, but too bad, it didn’t pass the guards. What was sad is that, foreigners in ordinary slippers are allowed to go in, well foreigners bring in money and Filipinos don’t…hahaha. But even if were not able to enter the casino, we toured the hotel and saw very young Filipinas aged 16-20 years of age as “___” Before going back to Richmond Hotel to have a good night sleep to prepare for another journey the next day, to Bohol, we thought of eating halo-halo sa Waterfront Hotel and then we had a hot cup of coffee. The following day we boarded the Ocean Jet going to Bohol. The hot sunny afternoon welcomed us at Tagbilaran Port. Bohol is a beautiful place, “probinsyang probinsya pa rin ang dating”. We had our lunch at Loboc River, a floating restaurant , a boholannian entertained us with his guitar singing love songs while we’re eating, parang paris ang style. Loboc River was so beautiful especially when you reach the end point. On our way to Chocolate Hills, we passed by the Man-Made Forest of Bohol, there I saw a giant millipede, really big, as healthy as my thumb, as black as my hair and 6 inches in length (just an estimate). Then we proceeded to Chocolate Hills, it wasn’t color brown then its still green, for it wasn’t summer yet, but it was beautiful, you have to climb 214 steps if I remember it right to reach the top of the hills to take a look at the other hills. Then we went to see the tarsiers, really small animals and so cutie, as big as my palm…and of course we would not leave Bohol without buying anything….February 3, our long journey to Baguio. And yes, I won a Cebu Pacific Wallet during the trip. It was a nice and beautiful experience being part of the group going to places I’ve never been before … all I could say was “WOW! I enjoyed the trip!” and I’m looking forward for more trips like this, going south again and maybe going somewhere outside the country….
