Ten years has passed and still i can remember his words, "Makagradwar laketdi ti annak ko uray matayakon", those were his words to his friends, and yes he did go after a year when our youngest sister graduated from college. So sad that he did not see my sisters got married. And he didn't had the chance to care for his "apos". But i know where ever he is he can see us and is happy and praying for us. For i know his with my mother, and have heard alot from my mom about their "apos". A strict, caring and loving father who is loved by everybody. A family oriented one "family first before anybody". With rules like no sleeping at friends place, its better if your friends sleep in the house, if you attend parties, when he say be home before 9 you should be home or else he comes and pick you up, no boyfriends when studying or else you'll see yourself selling fish in the market, those were the words but I SURVIVED...WE SURVIVED. And with those words, we all succeded in our own careers. For he told us always that only our education is what he can give to us.
Yes ten years has passed, May 22, 1997, 9 days before my birthday he passed away, but he waited for my birthday as always, never missed my birthday even if his out of town he would always come home. He was buried May 31, my birthday, how could i forget him. Time flies so fast as if it was just yesterday that he left us. But I know where ever he is, He's happy watching over us...miss you PAPA!
Any man can be a father, but it takes someone special to be a Dad.
